Massage Therapy For Insomnia And Depression

Wanted to share this article I came across discussing a topic many clients/people suffer from during this time of the year. Insomnia is one of the chief complaints I work to eliminate in my practice. I find some people are informed on what massage therapy can do for a body suffering from the effects of insomnia, but there seems to be a large group of people who do not know about the many alternative treatments that can help this condition. I hope you find this article of some help and interest. Thank you for stopping by "Is this thing on?"

I encourage you to continue to uncover ways to live as healthy as you can and know that there are people who want to help you reach wellness. Thanks for checking in, I know our time is precious to us all and having you share of few minutes with me here is valued.

Intro Post - Benefits of In-Home Massage Therapy

Hello Bloggers,

As the title suggests this is my very first blog.  I am excited to be joining you all in sharing the things that are important to us.  If you already read my profile you know that I am a massage therapist, and the owner of a private practice, Manos By Sarah Massage Therapy.  If you would like more information on the services I provide feel free to visit my website www.manosbysarah.com
My reason for creating this blog page is to keep readers up to date with valuable information regarding research and alternatives in massage therapy.  I also hope to gain better insight on what issues, questions, and concerns you face when considering massage therapy.  In my practice I offer In-Home massage therapy, which means I bring the massage session to you in your home or office.  I am interested in knowing what you think about this service?  If have had a massage therapist come to your home/office before, what about the session made it something you would do again?  Or not do again?  If you have never had this kind of service before, what questions or concerns do you have that might keep you for seeking this service?

In-Home Massage
The benefits in this service vary depending on the individual client.  Some clients enjoy the ease of not having to travel to get to their session, especially if they are recovery from and injury or surgery.
In the case of a pregnant client, depending on the stage of their pregnancy, it may have become difficult for them to travel as is the case in women who are put on bed rest during their pregnancy.
I find this service appeals to seniors, as traveling in the city can be very stressful for clients who are facing the physical changes that come with age.
This service is also beneficial to individuals whose schedules are too busy to take the time to get to a therapist.  In this case the client can cut the time it would take to get a massage, enabling them to care for themselves and their responsibilities.

In general whether the focus of the session is relaxation or pain management, In-home massage provides a convenient alternative to many.

I thank you for taking the time to read my first of many blog posts.  I hope you have found the topic interesting and something would like to comment on.  Please feel free to share your comments.
